For any of you that have taken part in a Multi Level Marketing or home based business such as Amway, Monavie, Mary Kay, Arbonne International and the like, I’m sure there are some things that you have found to be very frustrating.
I, for one, had recently started one called Arbonne. It’s the one where you are basically selling all sorts of a skincare and health products. The product itself is okay. The packaging is great, probably my favorite part. I like it at least enough to buy it, and distributors will tell you, since you like this great product, why not make some money yourself while selling it? And hence start of another MLM.
For me, the product drew me in, but shortly afterwards, you find that it is so difficult to actually make money off of it. I calculated it and I found out that you have to sell $443.00 worth of product to profit $200.00 each month. So yes the sign up fee is low but in order to make money, it’s so hard to actually sell. My sponsor suggested that I hold Arbonne parties but honestly I don’t want complete strangers coming into my house. Once I exhausted my network, I had to get people that I didn’t know to sell it to. Most people were maybe interested in the products but they definitely didn’t want to become a distributor.
What ended up happening was that although I did like the products, the pressure to sell something that was pretty expensive every month made it difficult for me to make much. Not only that, the fact that by the time Arbonne had come to me, there were already a lot of people in it so everyone else I tried to get either was already a distributor or was already pitched the product and “wasn’t interested.” I guess this pretty much meant that I was at the “bottom of the pyramid.”
After a couple experiences with various such MLM/home based business proposals, and (I’ve gotten a taste of them all), I finally found one that I can do and actually has worked for me. Here is a break down of it.
1. It costs $199 to start, but the product you are “selling” is actually free. It’s basically a kick ass shopping program that finds you the cheapest prices on the internet for any item you could possibly buy on the internet. I love online shopping and this program is my best tool. And just like Arbonne and other product MLMs, where often the products you are selling are high quality this is the same. Only in this case, this high quality product is free. And every time you give away this free product and it is downloaded, you make a dollar. Even if people end up not liking it, you can just uninstall it and you still get credit. So essentially in the first month, you give away this free software to 200 people (i.e. get all your facebook friends to download) and you get your initial investment money back.
2. Every month there after, it only costs 29.99 to keep the program license active for dispersal. Again, 30 free downloads will cover the costs, even if you do not get anyone else in your down line.
3. If you actually do work, there are tons of easy bonuses you can take advantage of that are realistic and a consistent residual income that is guaranteed because again, you don’t have to keep selling juices or cosmetics every month to make.
4. Timing wise, this MLM is in a perfect position. It has been around long enough and know that it is stable and not go belly up and early enough so that anyone signing on literally is near the top of the chain to actually benefit from both the uplines who are still working and the downlines that have a potential to grow to the millions.
5. As an extra bonus, my direct upline is a kick ass internet marketing millionaire. He gets like 200 people to join every day of his tour. His goal is to get a million people in his team by the end of the year and right now he has just gotten started. The people that he gets, seeps into your pay matrix so it is really great, especially for the folks that don’t want to do any work and aren’t ambitious along the lines of getting a whole lot of money every month. Even if you don’t do anything, just by holding your position you end up getting some check every month.
Anyways, that’s my story with Arbonne and my new story with My Shopping Genie. I welcome comments.
